Space is the one frontier that's out of reach to the average person. But the feeling of space travel is now a little less elusive. For those who dream of rocketing into orbit or just want a new thrill, roller-coaster-type flights aboard a modified jetliner give passengers the sense of walking on the moon and the ability to fly like Superman.

The ride can last up to two hours and would include up to 15 climbs and dives (parabolas), 10 of which would create complete weightlessness for 30 seconds at a time!
The whole experience takes between 3 and 4 hours, and includes a detailed flight briefing, a personal fitting of the special flight overalls which participants get to keep and a 're-gravitation' champagne celebration.

The flight is operated by specially trained crews, including several with NASA astronaut experience, in a modified Boeing 727, renamed G-Force One. The aircraft features a 90-foot long padded 'floating zone' which provides plenty of room for passengers to try their weightless manoeuvres each time 'zero g' is achieved. The transition to and from weightlessness is a gentle procedure which places no significant strain on man or machine. Indeed safety and passenger comfort throughout are the watchwords.

Flights, each of which can accommodate up to 35 passengers, operate regularly throughout the year primarily from McCarran International Airport at Las Vegas or the Shuttle Landing Facility at the Kennedy Space Centre, near Orlando. This makes 'zero g' a highly original potential signature element of an incentive or team gathering in Nevada or Florida, or anywhere else in America since the aircraft can be chartered and repositioned to any airfield in the US capable of handling a large jet.

'Zero g' is proving attractive to the corporate market in the US but has yet to be seriously pitched to UK groups. By acting now any UK corporate events organiser would certainly be ahead of the game. However since the experience will not appeal to everybody and is certainly not cheap, TMG Events recommend that it would best be offered as an option or on a selective basis. However it's positioned, it's bound to be an attention-grabber and a great talking point.
