Our
client was looking for an incentive programme that would enthuse and excite their
telecommunications salesmen into maximising their performance during quarter 3
and 4. Their sales people were almost exclusively twenty-something males so the
programme was devised with this fact firmly in mind.
An
adventure and adrenaline fuelled January trip to Lapland was our solution. The
first day saw all participants fly to Rovaniemi, Finish Lapland with welcome drinks
and Survival kit fitting on arrival! An informal group dinner took place within
the hotel allowing guests to mingle and speculate about what lay ahead over the
following few days. Following
a traditional Scandinavian buffet breakfast, and a driving and safety briefing,
each of the participants got hold of their own snowmobile for the journey across
the Arctic wilderness, rivers, lakes and fells. The destination- a husky farm,
where the mode of transport was changed to dog and sleigh. An outdoor lunch was
taken beside a roaring fire. On return to Rovaniemi the group ate dinner at the
excellent Restaurant Gaisaa. Day
2 provided a host of activity options from tobogganing to cross country skiing
to braving a traditional Finnish sauna. The evening saw a trip into the forest,
with nothing but snowmobile headlights to show the way, in search of the fabled
Aurora Borealis. Dinner was taken at Villa Marina a log-built farmhouse on the
shores of the Ounasjoki River. Contact
