So
you've been to the East and West coast
many times, be it on a work event or
a personal holiday but not many have
taken the time to see what's going on
a little further from the coast.
The
Great Lakes of the USA are undoubtedly
something you'll have heard of (Superior,
Michigan, Huron, Erie and Ontario) but
remain one of nature's wonders that
are oh so rarely visited. Why
not take a trip to the USA but with
a unique twist. Avoid the hustle and
bustle and man made sites of New York,
Las Vegas, LA....... to experience a
completely different side to America.
Minneapolis,
dubbed the Mini-Apple (due to its abundance
of theatres, art houses and coffee shops),
is a progressive city on the Prairie
(and also home to the USA's largest
mall!). A big city feel with a small
city mentality ensures you feel welcomed
and at home from the moment you set
foot from the plane (direct flights
are now available from London to Minneapolis).
It's
just a short trip from Minneapolis up
to the spectacular Lake Superior. Quaint
little towns surround the Great Lakes
and with dairy farms and fruit orchards
blanketing the region you are never
far away from fresh pie and ice cream!
The Midwest's German heritage also ensures
there's always beer on tap.
In
addition to the scenery the Great Lakes
makes for an excellent Summer outdoor
adventure incentive with hiking, biking,
canoeing and kayaking in the lakes and
forests always top of the agenda
